Salt - is defined to ionic compound where the hydrogen ions in an acid is replaced with metal ions or ammonium ions.
There are 3 types of salts which we classify as soluble salt which contain of sodium/potassium/ammonium ions (salt 1), soluble salt which is non-Na/K/NH4 (salt 2), and insoluble salt (salt 3).
The following pictures and video clips are taken while my students have their hands on experience in preparing salt.
Pictures of experiments....

saturated copper (II) nitrate solution ... waiting to be purified..

insoluble salt of lead (II) dichromate, height of precipitate increases with increase of volume of solution.
